Azure Data Engineer
Job details
We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions within our Business Intelligence and Data Platform environment.
In this role, you will develop and optimize data pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, and ensure reliable, high-quality data is available for analytics and reporting. You will work at the intersection of business and technology understanding stakeholders’ requirements and translating them into robust, secure, and efficient Azure-based data solutions.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Translating business requirements into clear and scalable technical solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data solutions, and implement enhancements
- Designing and developing ETL pipelines using PySpark within Databricks
- Managing and optimizing Delta Lake tables, ensuring data integrity through ACID transactions
- Orchestrating and monitoring workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Processing and transforming data from various file formats (e.g., CSV, TXT with different delimiters and encodings)
- Applying dimensional modeling principles (facts, dimensions, star schema) in data warehouse design
- Using Git for version control and contributing to CI/CD processes
What we are looking for
- Hands-on experience with PySpark and Databricks
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with ADF orchestration and understanding of medallion architecture patterns
- Familiarity with PowerApps and Dataverse is considered an advantage but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong analytical, communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collaborative attitude towards working within a development and support team
- Good use of English language (written and speech)
