Almost three years ago, Playtech.ro wrote about how the local company EXE Software delivers software solutions on five continents in countries such as Vietnam, America, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico, Singapore and even Tanzania. The company develops Enterprise Application Software (EAS) programs and sees first-hand what the expectations are for the future.

Now, EXE Software shows us which technologies to pay attention to and, eventually, research, if the IT field is for you, whether we are talking about programming or other areas.

That’s how we found out that, as expected, 5G is on the list. It will provide high-speed, low-latency Internet for the next decade – in many scenarios, from transportation and smart homes to the development of new entertainment, collaboration and communication solutions.

Artificial intelligence is also present on the list (through machine learning or deep learning algorithms and having an essential role in automation). The Cloud component will also mark the IT industry, especially since we are talking more and more about collaboration and social platforms. Besides, the cybersecurity sector will increase, as well as the data analysis systems (especially since we are talking about more and more data).

EXE Software claims that the speed of communication, process automation, availability and scalability of the IT infrastructure open up unique opportunities for all industries, and will definitely impact our lives.

Last year has shown everyone that digitalization is a mandatory direction for most businesses if they want to stay in the market in the coming years. “But beware, this means not only the acquisition and implementation of software solutions but also an in-depth review of the business model, which should take into account the enormous advantages that IT & C technology brings,” said company representatives.

In terms of programming languages, the situation will change according to business needs. Thus, each language’s popularity among programmers will increase or decrease, depending on how quickly these will adapt and what programming options they will offer for the Cloud operating environment and for systems that include artificial intelligence.

Today, some of the most popular programming languages are JavaScript, C #, Java, HTML / CSS, SQL, Python, PHP and even C / C ++. Most of them were launched in the 1990s or early 2000s, and some even earlier. The exception is Python, the only one that has made its place among the giants in recent years. “If we look at these, because they are the ones that define the industry now, they have been perfected over time and we expect this to continue to happen, so we don’t think there will be any major changes in the coming years,” added EXE Software representatives.
