Namely, we are expecting changes in terms of internal procedures, operations, customer experience, management and new business models, which means that any company, including the Romanian ones, are to invest in modern IT solutions.

This leads us to the conclusion that investors will be focusing on IT start-ups. Moreover, unlike other years, even the government is planning to invest in revising and automating its infrastructure, in order to provide citizens with the best services.

In 2020, the Cloud will remain the most reliable tool for business, and Microservices architecture will continue to gain ground.

In terms of programming languages, the main ones will be Java, C, C++, JapaScript and Python, the last one winning more and more ground lately. There will also be room for new ones, such as Swift, Rust, Kotlin or TypeScript, which are favoured by hardware trends and Cloud technology.

When it comes to weaknesses in IT, the main problem of specialized companies will remain not being able to source and hire trained human resource. Besides that, financial changes and instability make the national and global context more risky for investors.
